Korea Introduces New Inspection Code 2006
South Korea will be introducing a new inspection code that will be based on EN81-1. Korean authorities have stated that encouragement from PALEA helped to influence their decision.

Latest Version of Chinese Code Issued -GB7588:2003
The latest version of the Chinese code for electric lifts , GB7588:2003 was issued in mid 2003 and will be fully enforced from 1st January 2005. The new version is based on EN81-1:1998
